Encaustic Monotype Workshop

 

Overview

Basic printing techniques are done by drawing and painting on an electrically heated plate; no press needed!

Images are transferred to various archival papers using a baren and hand pressure.

One-transfer printing in both dark and light field manners and multiple-transfer techniques will be done with several variations of the basic process.               

  • Demos and personal hands-on experience.
  • Ample time to explore the process and each variation.
  • Individual attention at each step of the process.

 

Prerequisites

Some knowledge of drawing and painting required.
